Since the launch of Port Moody Voice, the response from residents has been incredible. People are feeling a renewed sense of optimism and possibility – and that’s exactly why this new political party was formed: to define a clear direction built on a shared, community-driven vision for our city’s future.

Over the past three years on Council, I’ve had a front-row seat to decisions that often feel out of step with the values and priorities of most residents. After so many 6–1 votes, some might think that it can be frustrating and disheartening to be the sole vote on such issues.  But that vote is so important to all the people that I am honoured to represent at the council table.  With that vote, I stand up proudly and resolutely for every resident that feels like they don’t have a voice.

Everyone deserves to feel heard and Port Moody Voice was created to make sure that all voices are heard

We’ve seen what can happen when elections use vague messaging and glossy brochures that leave residents guessing where candidates really stand. The result is a growing disconnect between residents and the decisions being made. We’ve heard some on council justify this disconnect as being “for the greater good.” But to me, there is no greater good than local government working for the people it serves.

That’s where Port Moody Voice comes in. It’s about transparency and integrity – making sure residents know exactly what and who they’re voting for. It’s about electing a Council that works with residents, through the entire term of government.

Port Moody Voice believes in clarity, not buzzwords. Commitments, not empty promises. The party’s platform will be built with the community – and residents will be able to hold every candidate accountable to it.

As Port Moody’s first political party, Port Moody Voice will bring forward a team of candidates you can identify and trust – people who share common values and a clear vision for the city’s future. I’m proud to be one of them.

Like so many, what I love about Port Moody is what makes it so special – its small-town heart, its creativity, its connection to nature, and its people. Port Moody isn’t just another stop on the SkyTrain line, and it shouldn’t be treated like one. We can protect what makes this city special while ensuring growth happens responsibly – in a way that serves our community today and for generations to come.

The future isn’t an “either/or” choice, as some would have you believe. It’s full of possibilities that benefit everyone – we just need the right people at the table to make it happen. And you can help.
